EDPMA'S First Audit Workshop was a Tremendous Success
In early October, Ed Gaines, Jack Turner, and Mark Owen presented EDPMA's first Audit Workshop. Close to 40 attendees received two days of instruction in Dallas, TX, on how to avoid and handle audits. The nimble size of the audience helped make the event unique, allowing attendees to discuss their specific questions in detail with the presenters.
The attendees gave the workshop very high marks and shared their assessment as follows:
"This was a well planned, organized and informative workshop. The level of expertise was exceptional and it was led by three top quality industry experts. Not only were the sessions well done, the toolkit that was provided was incredible. This was a great "how to" workshop. This workshop gave the attendees an arsenal of information and the confidence to successfully meet the challenges related to payer audits and the appeals process! Well Done!"
"EDPMA's Audit Workshop was a collaborative forum where presenters and attendees openly shared real examples and practical tips. All attendees were given a "tool box" filled with reference material and reports that itself is worth thousands of dollars."
"The EDPMA Audit Workshop was extremely informative and very practical for use in any size emergency medicine practice in any setting. The presenters were very knowledgeable. Highly recommended for all physicians, coders and practice managers."
"The speakers presented us with the tools and knowledge to address audits from prevention to resolution. Was one of the most valuable workshop I have attended"
The Audit Workshop was sponsored byTeamHealth and Martin Gottlieb and Associates, LLC.
